What recent guests emphasize

Balanced comfort with scenic convenience

Visitors appreciate the prime ski-in/ski-out location and friendly service but note some dated room features and mixed climate control experiences.

Guests often praise

  • Friendly and helpful staff providing attentive service from check-in to housekeeping
  • Convenient location just steps from Kimberley Mountain Resort lifts and close to outdoor activities
  • Spacious rooms often featuring fireplaces and kitchenettes, ideal for families and longer stays
  • Enjoyable on-site amenities including an outdoor heated pool, hot tub, bar, and restaurant
  • Pet-friendly environment allowing guests to travel with dogs easily

Worth knowing

  • Some rooms appear dated and could benefit from renovations, especially regarding climate control and furnishings
  • The outdoor pool is heated but may be too cold for some guests; the single hot tub is popular and can get crowded
  • Hot tub jets have been noted to occasionally malfunction, limiting full experience
  • Paid breakfast availability but nearby dining options on-site and in town offer variety
  • Free underground parking is available, a valued convenience for many visitors

Best for

About this property

Welcome to Trickle Creek Lodge

Situated just a couple of minutes’ walk from the North Star Express High Speed Quad lift at Kimberley Mountain Resort, this rustic chalet-style lodge offers convenient ski-in/ski-out access. The location also places guests near Trickle Creek Golf Resort, with mountain biking and hiking trails readily accessible from the doorstep, appealing especially to outdoor enthusiasts.

The property features modern, chalet-inspired suites that include kitchenettes in some rooms and fireplaces, providing a cozy and functional stay. While some reviews note that the rooms could benefit from updates and improvements to climate control, the spaciousness and practical amenities such as free Wi-Fi, on-site parking, and pet-friendly policies contribute to its appeal. Guest feedback highlights friendly and helpful staff across services as a consistent positive.

A selection of on-site facilities caters well to relaxation and dining needs, including an outdoor heated pool, a hot tub, a bar, and the Buckhorn & Main Mountain Eatery restaurant. Although guests appreciate these conveniences, some have mentioned that the pool temperature and hot tub capacity room for improvement, with the restaurant receiving generally positive, if moderate, reviews.

The lodge is practical for families, pet owners, and business travelers alike, thanks to accessible features, a fitness center, and a business center. Its proximity to several local attractions such as Kimberley Alpine Resort for skiing, Kimberley Nature Park, and the Underground Mining Railway offers varied opportunities for recreation beyond the slopes.

Great location and place to stay in Kimberley. Staff were very helpful and friendly from check in, to the restaurants. Just a couple minor issues in the room. The Stemwinder had good food and service and at a comparable cost to anything else in town making it a convenient dinner night.

A bit worn down but for the price we were happy. Staff was all really nice and the outdoor hot tub was exceptional. The location just seconds away from the golf course and we could literally mountain bike right out the front door to the trails was the best part! We will return for a 3rd time next year.

Rooms could use some renovations to bring it up to date, amenities were great, on site dining, free underground parking, pet friendly. Climate control could be updated as we were cooking the entire time in the hotel room and had to keep the patio door open to keep it cool.

Trickle Creek is a good ski hill hotel, has all the amenities needed for a great day on the hill! The hotel has a small outdoor hot tub and heated pool for guests, which was nice after the day on the hill. There's also a bar and restaurant on the main floor, though we didn't go in so I can't comment on the food or service, but it looked nice inside. The room was spacious and had a fireplace and balcony, but the shower head sucked for sure. The one terrible thing about this hotel is that they have only one elevator that seems like it hasn't been serviced in decades, you can wait for 10 minutes and it comes full of people. Traveling with someone with mobility issues made getting around the hotel that much harder, also bringing all your belongings to your room is a mission. The underground parking garage is pretty tight as well, but other than that it's a nice place to stay.

Booked this hotel while driving to the mountain the day of our stay. Older rooms, but very spacious. Very friendly staff. The price was a good deal for staying right next to the lift, plus our dog was able to stay in the room while we skied!

Our family just had a 3 night stay at the Trickle Creek Lodge and we absolutely loved it! The ski in, ski out made it convenient to take a break for lunch and rest before night skiing. My husband doesn't ski but he was able to look out at the hill and enjoy watching us come down to the lift. The rooms were clean and we appreciated the kitchenette (it was stocked with basic dishware, pots, pans and cooking utensils). The front desk and cleaning staff were very friendly. We ate twice at the Buckhorn restaurant and had amazing food and the best service! We did use the pool and hot tub twice. The pool was too cold for our liking (kids were fine!) but the hot tub was nice. We noticed that there was a spot for a 2nd hot tub and hopefully that will be added soon as the one hot tub was always packed with guests. Overall, we had a fabulous time and are already planning to come back next year. Thank you Trickle Creek Lodge for making our trip memorable!

We've been vacationing at Trickle Creek for over a decade. The atmosphere is amazing. Rooms are always clean and beds are very comfortable. Service is always willing to help should a problem arise. Only issue this visit were the jets in the hot tub weren't working so it was only a "hot tub."

Great Value Ski-In/Ski-Out Stay at Trickle Creek Lodge **4 out of 5 stars** *Stayed December 2025* Trickle Creek Lodge in Kimberley, BC, is a solid choice for skiers and families looking for convenience without breaking the bank. We got an excellent rate for a spacious studio with a king size bed, full kitchen, cozy fireplace, and balcony overlooking the slopes—definitely good price for what you get, especially considering the prime location right at the base of Kimberley Alpine Resort. True ski-in/ski-out access made our days on the hill effortless; no driving or shuttles needed, just step out and go. The suite was comfortable and well-equipped for self-catering, which helped keep costs down. Staff were friendly, and the overall vibe is relaxed mountain lodge. A few minor maintenance issues: the shower head could have used a replacement or thorough cleaning—it sprayed water all over the place instead of in a steady stream. The elevator worked most of the time. The outdoor hot tub was a bit disappointing—more lukewarm than hot, so it wasn't as relaxing as we'd hoped after a day of skiing. The outdoor pool was heated enough to be usable but kept from freezing, as expected in winter, but it's more for a quick dip than prolonged swimming in the cold air. That said, the unbeatable location outweighs these small quirks for us. If you're here primarily for the skiing and want affordable, convenient accommodations with great views, this place delivers excellent value. We'd return for another budget-friendly ski trip!
